Λάμπρος Τσάγκας

Lambros Tsagas (Analipsi, Viotia, March 7, 1946) is a Greek actor and director. He was born on March 7, 1946 in Analipsi, Viotia and attended the Livadia High School. He is a graduate of the Drama School of the National Theatre. He has collaborated with the Alexis Minotis – Katina Paxinou troupes, with the Theatre Company of Crete, with the DI.PE.THE. Roumeli, with Minoas Volanakis, with the DI.PE.THE. Chania, etc. In 1978 he was a key executive and co-founder with his brother Christos Tsagas of the artistic company Palkoseniko, which operated as the Semi-Citizen Theatre of Central Greece. In 1985 they acquired a home, the Knossos Theater, and since then, with his brother Christos, they have staged 30 productions, taking part in them as actors and as directors with their collaborators Yiannis Tsarouchis, Vassilis Fotopoulos, Nikos Koundouros, Ioanna Papantoniou, Kyriakos Sfetsa, Vassilis Dimitriou, Kostas Georgousopoulos, Christodoulos Chalaris. After the death of his brother, Christos Tsagas, he continued his activity and to date has staged more than 80 productions and has collaborated with more than 800 collaborators. In 1991, he founded the Dionysos Cultural Association, which aimed exclusively at promoting theatrical education, addressing mainly young people with works of Greek culture, classical and contemporary. He first performed in 1963 at the age of 17 in the play "Bury the Dead" by Irving Shaw at the Poria Theater.
