Víctor Maytland

Argentine film director, producer, and screenwriter, widely recognized as the pioneer and leading figure of the adult film industry in his country. After taking his first steps in the 1980s working on bawdy sex comedies alongside director Enrique Carreras, he established his own production company in 1989, under which he directed over a hundred home-video titles that became cult classics of the VHS era.

His public persona transcended the erotic genre thanks to his irreverent narrative style, satires laced with local slice-of-life comedy and political parodies, and frequent appearances on Argentine broadcast television, establishing him as a unique and iconic character in national popular culture until his death in Buenos Aires at age 75.
