Ilja Roomans

Ilja Roomans is the producer of Docmakers, a collective of female documentary filmmakers based in Amsterdam. She is a member of the Documentary Branch of the Academy for Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the EAVE Producers Network, and a board member of the Dutch Academy for Film. Recent films include The Propagandist (2024) by Luuk Bouwman, winner of the IDFA Best Dutch Film Award 2024, Where Dragons Live (2024) by Suzanne Raes, and Master of Light (2022) by Rosa Ruth Boesten, which received three Emmy nominations and won multiple festival awards (including the SXSW Best Documentary Feature Award 2022).
