The Last Parting

"We spend our entire lives apart, like the stars Shen and Shang." Orion and Antares rise and set separately, providing the film's central metaphor for lovers separated by space, memory, and fate. After the artificial intelligence-created Blue Snow devastates Earth, pilots He Xi and Yu Lan carry humanity's last hope to separate planets. Twenty years later, He Xi finds Yu Lan on the planet Shang, but their reunion begins to crumble, forcing him to protect both their love and the future of humanity.
