Trevor Burgess

Trevor Burgess is an American entrepreneur and Emmy-nominated documentary producer, and chairman and CEO of Neptune Flood Insurance, the largest private flood insurance provider in the U.S., which went public on the NYSE in October 2025. A Dartmouth graduate, he spent nearly a decade as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley before founding C1 Bank, which he took public in 2014 — becoming the first openly gay CEO of a publicly traded U.S. bank — prior to its sale to Bank of the Ozarks in 2016. Alongside his business career, he produces documentary films, with credits including the Academy Award-nominated short All the Empty Rooms (2025), The Dating Game (2025), Under the Flags, the Sun, Beirut Dreams in Color, and The White House Effect. He is a significant donor to Equality Florida and is recognized as a prominent LGBTQ+ business leader.
